The Summoning

For this project, the aim was to make a game that fit the theme of the 2024 Ludus Jam : summoning. For this project i worked on the narrative, mechanics design and UI as well as putting together the process document.
The aim was to create a unique, but familiar summoning theme so we decided to go with a 2d puzzle horror game based on an explorer with mystical powers who summons demons to help them sole puzzles and beat the game.
The colours, sound engineering and ambience of the game was key in making it a horror game and the use of simple mechanics like moving blocks into place was set to be useful for making a quick and good looking game.
